Microsoft Virtual Earth

Microsoft Virtual Earth team has added nearly 3.8 Terabytes worth of new satellite imagery, which can show you some high resolution bird’s eye view of cities across US and Europe. The bird’s eye view looks awfully close and gives you a feeling as if you are flying on a chopper. However, I must complain that Virtual Earth takes endlessly long to render the map (in comparison with Google Earth). Check out the list of cities.

They’ve compiled a tour of Chicago, which takes you through architectural points of interests in Chicago. Give it a try. With this new imagery, Virtual Earth is trying to bite Google Earth
